Motivation:

Oliver would never have given up Quidditch willingly, but do to the limited use of his shoulder he had to make a career change. He didn't want to leave Quidditch entirely, it having been his life up until then, so he applied for a position within the Department of Magical Games and Sports. At least here, he would still have enough of a tie to Quidditch that he wouldn't be going crazy.

Oliver's Father was killed by Death Eaters, about six months previously. The subject is still a sore one for him.

Journal Entry:

My agent – at least a week ago when I still used to have one – has apparently 'taken the liberty to purchase an accommodation' in my name. Who the hell does he think he is to make these decisions in my name?
I am now being relocated into a little house at the edge of the community. I'm determined to hate it there.

To quote everybody's favourite gamekeeper "Gallopin' Gorgons!" This place is awesome.
The house itself is rather small and looks a bit crooked. But the view! Merlin, the view! Once I look out of the window in the back I've got a full view of the Quidditch pitch (which, by the way, can be reached by foot within three minutes I've been told). I'm never leaving this place again. It's perfect. I even love the fact that the floor has a slight inclination and the kitchen is practically non-existent.
Duncan, my terrier, loves it as well and has already proceeded to mark his territory with unmasked enthusiasm.

I may refrain from strangling my former agent.

Sample Post:

Oliver set down the cages he had ordered, making sure they were ready to receive the gnomes that they were going to be pulling out. Usually they threw them, but here that would only mean throwing them into a different part of the garden and that was not what he wanted to do. Instead he had ordered the cages that would hold them until he could transport them to a Magical Zoo somewhere in Southern Florida in the United States.

He pulled the cap on his head off, and ran a hand through his hair, pushing it back from his face before replacing the cap, his head feeling slightly itchy because of the mass amounts of hair he had and needed to get cut off. Rubbing his hands over his shirt to clean them of the oil residue that for some reason was on the cage he turned around and appraised the garden. He had already filled one cage this morning and it was waiting in the shed for him to finish with the other few he had. He didn’t think he would need more, five should be enough, they could easily hold twenty really big gnomes and about twenty five to thirty regular or small ones.

If there were more he was sure he was going to fall over.

He turned to look at the entrance of the park, attempting to catch sight of someone walking to help them. He wondered if anyone remembered, and hoped they did. Turning back to look at the garden he took a step forward, a hand shooting out and grabbing the gnome he had seen a moment before. Watching out for its teeth he placed it in the closest cage and turned back, looking for another one.

Alright, I'd like to just point out that before this incident I was discussing Harry Potter with a friend. I had no idea that I would be sooo spaced out during my Anthropology Mid-Term that I would hand it in with Harry Potter written in as my name.

...

This, my friends, is the point where being a Harry Potter fan becomes an illness.

Happy Birthday Ame Noir!

Ame Noir has recently celebrated it's first birthday. As with any game over time real life has interfered with the characters. We'd like to start the year off with a fresh start. First step - Housecleaning. The game and it's characters are now being "cleaned up".

With the start of a new year, many positions at Ame Noir have recently become avaliable and we are looking for all those who are interested in being a part of a great game.

Backstory:
During his seventh year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord once and for all. Some of his followers (ie. Bellatrix Lestrange) were killed or put away in Azkaban for good, while others (ie. Lucius Malfoy) managed to buy/bribe/sleep their way out of it. Now, when Harry was a baby Voldemort attacked him, but did not kill either of his parents, nor did Sirius Black go to Azkaban for twelve years. The battle against Voldemort after that was long and hard, but in the end the light was victorious and Harry's parents and Godfather were able to see Harry victorius.

Âme Noir is not cannon. At all. Make sure to ask if the character you want to play has a 'backstory' warning beside it

And now that that's out of the way, Âme Noir is a Post-Hogwarts Harry Potter RPG. We are currently seeking players! Halloween Party!!

Yeah, I can say that the Halloween party was fucking fantastic!! I wasn't going to dress up but they decided to make me so....naturally I dressed up as a slytherin student, tie, shirt and knee socks! It was great! Everyone was so drunk and I can't believe that I forgot to bring my camera with me. Shit!!!
